On Saturday, September 23, 2023, the Global Citizen Festival returned to Central Park in New York City, uniting 60,000 Global Citizens, artists, and advocates for a day of action to End Extreme Poverty NOW, against the backdrop of the week-long United Nations General Assembly, and New York Climate Week.

The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a tampon zone between North and South Korea. The DMZ is a de-facto border barrier, which runs along the 38th parallel north. The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly in half.
